The Pipeline Group, Inc. Announces New Ownership
July 22, 2009 – Midland, TX The Pipeline Group, a respected industry leader in pipeline safety, compliance and public awareness, today announced that president and founder, Joe Murphy and Larson & Associates, Inc. president, Mark Larson, have consummated an agreement whereby Larson will assume operational ownership of The Pipeline Group in all issues relating to rights of way, environmental compliance and public safety awareness for the Group’s pipeline clients as well as owners of rights of way across America.
According to Murphy, “This new leadership will again offer the excellent service and attention that The Pipeline Group was best known for and I am committed to the success of this endeavor."
Larson added, “Our first priority will always be the Group’s clients – pipeline operators, landowners and public safety responders.” He further added, “Our staff is experienced in the philosophy on which Joe Murphy founded and operated The Pipeline Group, and is committed to regulatory compliance and safety of the public.”
Larson, (www.laenvironmental.com) a certified professional geologist (CPG) and registered professional geologist (RPG) brings over twenty years of experience in performing and managing environmental investigations and remediation for domestic and international clients involved in oil and gas, chemical processing, manufacturing, nuclear fuels, and federal facilities. Larson is well known for soil and groundwater investigations and has designed innovative programs for remediation of soil and water contamination.
Larson’s experienced staff includes Lucy Molina who will oversee marketing and client relations for the Group, as well as manage Public Awareness and Emergency Response programs. Joining Molina is Rosa Rodriguez who will oversee the Group’s right-of-way notification services and will be responsible for ensuring that clients are in The Pipeline Group, Release, page 2 compliance with the Department of Transportation’s RP-1162 regulations.
